Progressive Structure

Santa Cruz Swing offers three levels, and inside each level there are three modules. You must take all three modules in a level before moving up to the next level. If you strongly feel that you should be able to advance into a different level, we offer the ability to test into a different level. The only opportunity to test is the hour before a new series starts, from 6PM to 7PM, at the 418 Project. Please use our contact form in advance of this day to let us know if you think you should test into a different level.

Level 1 Modules
• 6 Count
• 8 Count
• Level 1.5 — This module requires that you've already taken the 6 count and 8 count modules. This module combines what you've learned and helps advance your skills so that you're ready to make the jump to Level 2. 

Level 2 Modules
• Swingouts & Lindy Circles
• Charleston
• Special Topics — a combination of musicality, solo jazz, choreo, classic combos, and more.

After taking all three modules in Level 2, please check in with your Level 2 instructors if you'd like to advance to Level 3.
